Meow

An homage to my feline friends.

Painted with acrylic on wood.

Balis: The orange and white cat on a blue background

This is my cat who I have had for fifteen years. He has been a constant comfort in my life despite his loud personality.

Bailynn: The white and gray cat on a pink background

This is my other cat, though she much prefers my brother. She is the opposite to Balis in every way, and she has unbelievably soft fur.

Smudge: The orange kitten on a red background

He was a stray kitten than my boyfriend found in his car. He was taken to the humane society with intent to come home with us, but he was given away to another family instead (and renamed to Frank!).

Captain: The tuxedo cat on a green background

He was my childhood friend's cat. He was adopted after the passing of a previous tuxedo cat who grew up with us. The friendship necklace around his neck was given to me by my friend in sixth grade.

Kiwi (left) & Mango (right): The two calicos on a purple background

These two belong to another friend of mine. Kiwi always seems to have a distinct expression, while Mango just wants to play.

Penny: The calico on a yellow background

This cat passed away a few years ago but belonged to the same friend who has Kiwi and Mango. She represents 12 years of virtual friendship and many texts or phone calls.

Carrots: The mostly white but also orange tom cat on an orange background

This cat was recently give to another group of friends by the cat distribution system (he is a rescue, former stray), he is sweet but always looks mad.
