This project's challenge was to make a 1 minute animation about a conflict. My characters are two cats at the supermarket shopping for milk. The fridge is very understocked, leaving only one carton left. The tuxedo cat, disappointed that he has no milk to buy, steals it from the orange cat's cart. They get into an argument and a tussle before accidentally dropping and spilling the milk all over the floor. They both look up to realize the employee has been watching them the entire time, waiting to refill the fridge with enough milk for everyone. With this project I wanted to try out combining both 3D and 2D elements. The background is 3D, produced in Maya, and then everything was composited together in After Effects. This gave me a chance to focus on the storytelling and timing.
